Daniel Burnham
Mr. Daniel Burnham is the retired Chairman and CEO of Raytheon Company, a leader in the government, military, and commercial electronics markets with annual revenues of over $20 billion. Prior to Raytheon, Mr. Burnham served as the Vice Chairman and Board Director of AlliedSignal, Inc., and President of several divisions, including AlliedSignal Aerospace, AlliedSignal's largest business and the world's largest supplier of equipment and subsystems to the aerospace industry. In addition to serving on Atomate's board, Mr. Burnham currently serves on the Boards of Directors of First Data Corporation, Green Hills Software, and LMI, a government consulting firm. Mr. Burnham earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire and a B.A. degree in Economics from Xavier University. Mr. Burnham has also been presented with honorary degrees from Pepperdine University and Bentley College.
George C. Chacko, Ph.D.
Dr. George Chacko is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Harvard Business School and Managing Director at IFL. In addition to teaching various levels of courses on corporate financial engineering, Professor Chacko provides consulting for firms in the areas of asset allocation and investment management, derivatives pricing, and risk management. Professor Chacko earned a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University, dual M.S. degrees in Business Economics and Business Administration from the University of Chicago, and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
Brian Lim
Mr. Brian Lim serves Atomate as its President, Chairman, and CEO. Since founding Atomate in 2003 Brian has led the company to profitability and sales of products on 6 continents. Brian has recruited a robust team of scientists, engineers, technicians, and business professionals who are making a significant and positive impact on the commercialization of nanotechnology.
Prior to founding Atomate, Brian was the Vice President of Business Development, Marketing, Sales, and Product Management at NanoDevices (acquired by Veeco Instruments). This company was the first to market with the EasyTube® system, now sold by FirstNano-CVD Equipment Corporation, a system designed specifically for carbon nanotube research. NanoDevices also developed innovative products used in imaging nanostructures with the atomic force microscope. Brian has also served as the Vice President of Engineering and Product Development at Alpha Virtual/ Perceptronics, later acquired by Veridicom International; Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Broadware, later acquired by Cisco; Director of Product Marketing of StarOffice, later acquired by Sun Microsystems; and Product Manager at Sun Microsystems. Brian also worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for 8 years, where he managed the development of mission-critical devices for Earth-orbiting science instruments and spacecraft missions to Mars and to Saturn.
Brian earned an M.S. degree in Management and Engineering from the MIT Sloan School of Management and School of Engineering and a B.S.M.E. degree, also from MIT.
James Von Ehr II
Mr. James Von Ehr II is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Zyvex Corporation. Mr. Von Ehr established the University of Texas at Dallas NanoTech Institute with a personal contribution of $3.5 million. Mr. Von Ehr was also one of the nanotechnology leaders present at the Oval Office to witness President George W. Bush sign the 21st Century Nanotechnology Research and Development Act into law on December 3, 2003. Mr. Von Ehr currently also serves on the Boards of Directors for the Texas Nanotechnology Initiative, Foresight Nanotech Institute, and the University of Texas Dallas Technology Development Board (Chairman). Prior to founding Zyvex, Mr. Von Ehr was the Founder, President, Chairman, and CEO of Altsys Corporation (acquired by Macromedia in 1995). Mr. Von Ehr earned an M.S. degree in Mathematical Science at the University of Texas at Dallas, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University.
