Atomate Expands Product Lines for Do-It-Yourself CVD Equipment Customers

Simi Valley, CA – March 17, 2008 –Atomate Corporation today announced the launch of a series of new products for the “do-it-yourself” customers who wish to upgrade existing CVD systems or build new systems themselves.

Atomate’s CVD Components and Modules Product Lines now include a number of control equipment that has previously only been available as part of a complete system. Although these stand-alone controllers are designed for CVD growth of nanotubes and nanowires, they can also be used for many other Vapor-Liquid-Solid [VLS] processes. Atomate is committed to standard interfaces for ease of integration into legacy systems and for flexibility to accommodate process evolution.

The NEW Atomate modular controllers add any or all of the following control and monitoring capabilities to self-built or existing OEM equipment:

  • Pneumatic valve control
  • Mass flow control
  • Gas flow control
  • Thermal control
  • Operational status and interlock monitoring

Atomate currently offers gas manifolds, LeakProof Seals, and leak detection safety kits. NEW component offerings for self-built and other OEM systems include:

  • Bubbler assemblies
  • Gas delivery modules
  • Solid source heaters
  • Rapid thermal furnaces and stage heaters
  • Plasma enhancement modules
  • Electric field modules
  • Quartz and O-ring accessories
  • Showerheads

“Our complete systems have been very popular,” said Virginia Ford, General Manager, “but as researchers are exposed to our systems, we’ve been receiving requests for our components and modules from scientists who wish to upgrade existing tools. In many cases, it doesn’t make sense for these customers to buy an entirely new system when adding just a few of our components and modules can increase the scope of their research quickly and effectively. I believe that our customers really appreciate the freedom to choose between purchasing a complete system and building one themselves with some of our pre-engineered components.”

About Atomate Corporation:

Atomate Corporation develops complete systems, components, materials, and processes optimized for the synthesis of nanowires and nanotubes. The Atomate team is committed to working closely with customers to supply products that solve problems efficiently and economically. Atomate has solutions for research (complete systems and components to enhance existing systems) and production (complete systems with process development support). Atomate's mission is to develop products that enable the customer to focus their efforts on the science and manufacturing, not on the engineering or reliability of equipment.
