Atomate Launches Catalyst Product Line and Professional Services for Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes
Santa Barbara, CA – April 12, 2004 - Atomate Corporation today announced the launch of a new line of catalysts and professional services for the synthesis of carbon nanotubes. These catalysts enable precise diameter control of single-walled carbon nanotubes [SWNT] or high yield of SWNT on substrates. Atomate technical staff will also provide professional technical support services to assist customers with SWNT synthesis.
The nanotube catalysts will be shipped as-deposited on 10-mm x 10-mm substrates, ready for SWNT growth using the CVD method. All catalyst products are certified with a thorough quality control process, and backed by an unbeatable guarantee to meet their specifications.
The Atomate synthesis services include deposition of specific catalysts on designated substrates and growth of SWNT directly on substrates specified by the customer. The substrates can be supplied by the customer or manufactured by Atomate. The processes and catalysts provided by Atomate Professional Services are limited to those already published and without patent restrictions.
“Our goal is to make a very positive impact in the nanotube research community by providing valuable products and services,” said Dr. Thomas Tombler, CTO of Atomate and Assistant Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at UC Santa Barbara. “We enjoy sharing our experience in the synthesis of nanotubes with our customers. With our advanced CVD systems and certified catalysts, our customers can now achieve significantly better control over nanotube growth on substrates.”
