Electric Field Module
Achieve alignment of carbon nanotubes using electric fields
Atomate's electric field module (e-field module, or EFM) enables oriented growth of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and other nanostructures whose direction of growth can be influenced by the presence of electric fields.
Each module includes a flanged vacuum feed-through, high temperature wires with ceramic beaded insulation, a quartz stage, and a variety of hardware for making electrical contact to the substrate. A touch-safe electrical plug is included for ease of use for direct connection to the feed-through.
The standard EFM features a Con-Flat CF1.33” flange, but other flanges are available.
