Leak Detection Safety Kits

Synthesis of nanostructures using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) methods has the potential to be dangerous since highly combustible gases such as methane, ethylene, hydrogen, and others are used at very high temperatures. Leaks at certain interfaces of your CVD system can allow oxygen to enter the system and promote undesirable effects, such as oxidation or combustion. Significant leaks have the potential to harm you and others in the work area.

Since even small leaks can have a strong effect on the quality and reproducibility of experimental results, having a leak-free system will also improve control over nanostructure synthesis.

To complement our patent-pending LeakProof Seal, we have compiled a number of very useful tools that are used in some of the leading research facilities in the world. We use these tools ourselves. We have assembled a kit that contains some of the most effective and reliable equipment for detecting leaks on CVD systems.

• Our leak detection safety kit includes the following items
• Mountable leak detectors, which provide audible and visible alarms with multiple sensors mounted near the inlet and exhaust ports of the synthesis chamber or other leak-prone locations
• Portable combustible gas leak detector, which isolates leaks to a specific component in the system
• Vacuum hand pump, which helps locate small, otherwise undetectable leaks that affect synthesis results and are potential hazards
